May 30, 2019 - Diversity and community involvement are two of Oak Park's hallmarks, and both will be celebrated at the 46th annual A Day in Our Village festival this Sunday, June 2.
More than 150 information and activity booths representing Oak Park civic, cultural, social service, educational, religious and business organizations will fill Scoville Park at Lake Street and Oak Park Avenue from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Other highlights include live performances throughout the day on the Scoville Park Stage and a food court featuring local restaurants.
This year’s music entertainment features a rock & roll theme. The Replays start things off at 11 a.m., followed by RJ Revue at noon, The Oh Yeahs at 1 p.m., Simply Elton at 2 p.m., Rico at 3 p.m. and Toy Robots at 4 p.m. Ovation Academy for the Performing Arts will also make appearances on the stage throughout the day.
Mills Park, located at 217 S. Home Ave., will also offer an array of activities hosted by the Park District of Oak Park. A $5 wristband will provide unlimited access to classic carnival games, inflatables, self-guided tours of historic Pleasant Home and more.
A free shuttle bus will provide transportation between Scoville Park and Mills Park from 1 to 5 p.m.
