Tuesday, August 11, 2020  ::   A 44-year old Chicago man has been charged with attempted murder after DNA evidence connected him to a May 11 incident that left two men with non-life-threatening gunshots wounds.

Friday, July 17, 2020  ::   Oak Park's Public Health Department today issued emergency guidance directing travelers entering or returning to Oak Park from states with high COVID-19 rates to quarantine for 14 days since their last contact with specifically identified high-risk states.
Tuesday, July 14, 2020  ::   On-street, overnight and daytime parking restrictions are once again not being enforced on most Oak Park residential streets until the Village Board has had an opportunity to discuss parking needs within the state reopening plan.
Wednesday, July 8, 2020  ::   Oak Park officials are expressing sadness and disappointment after the Black Lives Matter pavement mural was defaced overnight. Public Works crews were quickly dispatched and have begun removing the materials used to deface the mural.
Friday, June 26, 2020  ::   Village Hall has reopened to the public with limited hours, access and occupancy. The south door at 123 Madison St., and access for persons with disabilities on Lombard Avenue, is open at 9 a.m. for senior citizens and individuals at higher risk for contracting the virus and 10 a.m. for others.
Thursday, June 25, 2020  ::   With the state expected to move into phase four of the Restore Illinois plan on Friday, Oak Park has issued guidelines for allowing Village residents to once again host block parties. A key requirement is that no more than 50 individuals can gather at one time.
Monday, June 22, 2020  ::   The Village of Oak Park is joining communities across the country and around the world in recognizing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) Pride Month throughout June.
