Friday, February 23, 2018  ::   A Schiller Park woman told Police her cell phone was taken after she tossed it toward the street as she believed she was about to be robbed by three men at approximately 8:15 p.m. yesterday in the 1000 block of West Randolph Street. No injuries were reported and no weapon displayed or implied.
Thursday, February 15, 2018  ::   A 33-year-old Oak Park woman gave up her purse to two men, one believed to be armed with a handgun, at about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue. Police have not determined if the incident is related to another robbery that occurred later the same night on Randolph Street at Harvey Avenue.
Thursday, February 15, 2018  ::   A 31-year-old Oak Park man reported that his wallet and cell phone were taken at gunpoint at about 9:15 p.m., Wed. Feb. 14 as he walked westbound on Randolph Street at Harvey Avenue.
Sunday, February 11, 2018  ::   The snow emergency has ended. Standard parking rules and regulations are now in effect.
Thursday, February 8, 2018  ::   New details have emerged in the ongoing investigation into the alleged abduction and assault of a 13-year-old girl, according to Oak Park Police, including a composite sketch of a suspect.
Sunday, February 4, 2018  ::   Oak Park Police are investigating the armed robbery of a couple reported at about 7:30 p.m., last night on Jackson Boulevard near Carpenter Street. A wallet containing $80 was taken, but no injuries were reported.
Friday, February 2, 2018  ::   The overall crime rate in Oak Park increased a modest 2 percent in 2017, the increase driven in part by an uptick in robberies, the category that includes incidents of vehicle hijackings that have spiked throughout the region.
Thursday, February 1, 2018  ::   An Oak Park teenager was arrested after being accused of striking another teen with a tree branch and taking his cell phone at about 3:30 p.m., yesterday in Austin Gardens on Forest Avenue just north of Lake Street. No injuries were reported.
Monday, January 29, 2018  ::   Residents can now receive regular updates related to public safety via the Police Department's new Facebook and Twitter accounts. The sites also are intended to increase community outreach, highlight resources and provide crime-prevention tips.
Monday, January 29, 2018  ::   Three Chicago men have been charged in connection with the attempted carjacking Saturday at the Shell gas station on Harrison Street at Austin Boulevard.
