Wednesday, September 11, 2024  ::   The Village Clerk’s Office is hosting a series of events to register new voters and assist those who may be new to Oak Park or have recently changed addresses within the community.
Sunday, August 25, 2024  ::   An excessive heat warning has been issued in Cook County for Mon., Aug. 26 and Tues., Aug. 27. The Village of Oak Park’s cooling center will be open at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (611 Randolph St.) between 3-7 p.m. on Monday and between noon-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Monday, August 12, 2024  ::   The 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) is coming to Chicago's McCormick Place and United Center, Aug. 19-22. The Village of Oak Park, given its proximity to Chicago, has been receiving questions as to how the community may be impacted by this national event.
Monday, August 12, 2024  ::   As part of a pilot program this month, Village Hall (123 Madison St.) will close at noon on Fridays. Beginning Friday, Aug. 16 and including Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, Village Hall will be open only from 9 a.m. until noon.
Tuesday, August 6, 2024  ::   With the long-term goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in mind, the Village of Oak Park is preparing to implement a user fee of 25 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) for electric vehicle charging stations owned and operated by the Village.
Monday, August 5, 2024  ::   The Village of Oak Park, led by President Vicki Scaman, is set to host Mayor André Dora of Datteln, Germany on Wednesday, Aug. 7, for a full day of activities and culminating in a panel discussion at Village Hall at 5 p.m.
Thursday, August 1, 2024  ::   The Oak Park Farmers’ Market is celebrating National Farmers’ Market Week with its popular Corn Roast on Saturday, Aug. 10.
Monday, July 22, 2024  ::   Nominations are being sought for the Village’s 2024 Historic Preservation, Cavalcade of Pride, Sustainability and Fitzsimmons Public Health Awards that recognize efforts made by organizations, individuals and businesses who have played roles in improving the community.
Tuesday, July 16, 2024  ::   A strong wave of storms pushed through the Chicagoland area on Monday evening, July 15th, and like many communities Oak Park found itself in its destructive path. Crews are actively engaged in clean-up efforts this morning.
Monday, July 15, 2024  ::   Village Manager Kevin J. Jackson announced today that Lindsey Roland Nieratka, a leader in developing and implementing climate-focused and sustainability programs, has been named Chief Sustainability Officer for the Village of Oak Park.
