The Oak Park Sculpture Walk returns for a fourth season with 12 sculptures on view in the eclectic Chicago Avenue Business District. This year’s event will begin just east of Ridgeland Avenue and follow along Chicago Avenue to Austin Boulevard and back again. The sculptures were chosen by a juried competition and vary in materials including steel, wood, granite and recycled objects. Brochures with details about the art and the artists will be available on site, at Oak Park libraries, area businesses along the route and online at www.oak-park.us/sculpturewalk. The Sculpture Walk is organized by the Public Art Advisory Commission, citizen volunteers who promote the acquisition and placement of public art that reflects diversity and artistic expression, and enhances the aesthetic environment of the Village.
