Due to a recent vacancy on the Village Board, Village President Vicki Scaman accepted applications from residents interested in serving as a Village Trustee for the remainder of a term that expires May 1, 2023. This particular seat is one of three that will be on the ballot for the April 4, 2023 consolidated election.
Under state statute, it is the role of the Village President to nominate a replacement within 60 days of a vacancy. The Village Board then has 30 days to act on the nomination.
Any information submitted is subject to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
Applications were accepted until Wednesday, Sept. 7.
