New Neighborhood Services Director…The Village recently welcomed Jonathan Burch, an Oak Park resident with extensive knowledge of federal, state and local housing policy and planning approaches, to the position of Assistant Village Manager/Neighborhood Services Director. His arrival comes after the Village Board approved a reorganization that included the creation of a standalone Neighborhood Services Department to oversee and elevate housing programs, code compliance and grants management, while placing a renewed focus on neighborhood and community engagement, as well as civic education and participation. New Chief Sustainability Officer…Lindsey Roland Nieratka was hired as the Village’s new Chief Sustainability Officer earlier this summer. Roland Nieratka is a leader in developing and implementing climate-focused sustainability programs. A native of Peoria, Ill., she spent much of her professional career in Florida prior to arrival in Oak Park, including her most recent position as Sustainability Manager for the City of Boca Raton, Fla.
