This summer the Village is conducting a community-wide racial equity assessment aimed at collecting data that will inform the Village’s racial equity plan. The assessment will involve gathering feedback from members of the community around a range of topics and explore how institutional racism impacts the community. A particular focus of the project will entail examining the racial equity impact of the Village’s programs, policies and practices. The Great Cities Institute from the University of Illinois Chicago was selected to partner in the assessment.
